We welcome you to stop by and enjoy a farm fresh lunch. Our seasonally inspired menu offers guests a hearty meal, prepared in our kitchen, featuring our local farms.
Lunch is served Wednesday thru Saturday from 11:00am-2:00pm. Whether you are coming in from a
hard morning’s work, or just traveling through, you are invited to join us for our daily meal.
Late Spring Menu
Mid June–Early July
The farm lunch season begins at Posie’s Place with the arrival of the first fruit of the season, the strawberry. They bless us with their sweetness for just a few short weeks, and then they are gone. However, their memory lives on in our carefully prepared jams and jellies, teasing us with their flavor until their season comes again.
Our late Spring menu is inspired by the tradition of the New England Church Potluck Supper. These social gatherings are often the place to sample a variety of heirloom recipes and family favorites. Simple, yet hearty, these dishes brought to share with fellow parishioners are an integral part of our culinary heritage, and we are pleased to share some classic comfort foods with you.
Wednesday: Governor’s Casserole
This delicious casserole of broccoli, cauliflower, and ham baked in a creamy cheddar cheese sauce, and topped with seasoned bread crumbs is a hearty helping of homemade goodness. It is served with homemade cheddar biscuits. For dessert, have a slice of Posie’s Place Strawberry Peach Meringue Pie.
Thursday: Chicken Pot Pie
Local, free range chicken are the centerpiece to this perennial favorite. Homemade pie crust filled with meat, fresh peas, and carrots in a savory gravy offer guests the ultimate in comfort food. It is served with our buttery cornbread. The meal is finished with our own fresh strawberry cheesecake.
Friday: Beef Stroganoff
Classic creamy beef and mushroom stroganoff served over egg noodles. Served with freshly baked honey oatmeal bread. For dessert, fresh strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream.
Saturday: Lasagna
Local sausage, layered with assorted Vermont cheeses, and our savory red sauce gives a local flavor to this Italian classic. Served with our buttery crescent rolls. Custard Pie topped with fresh strawberries is the perfect ending to the meal.
